Program Leads

	Lander Duncan is a student at NYU CAS from San Fransisco, California. Lander is interested computer networking and systems. In his free time, Lander likes to read and to spend time with his friends. Lander’s fun fact is that his favorite dessert is tiramisu. Lander is the current Program Lead and Head of Infrastructure for the HSRN VIP.
	Sean Lai is a student at Tandon from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His technical interests are in Reinforcement Learning, AI, Deep Learning, and Algorithms. In his free time, he enjoys game design, video games, reading, and watching operas. A fun fact about Sean is that he once played Go at the amateur level. Sean is the current Vice Program Lead and Head of Research Engineering for the HSRN VIP.
	Victoria Ugochukwu is a undergraduate student at Tandon from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her technical interests are in Supply Chain and Operations. In her free time she enjoys baking, exploring and travelling. A fun fact about Victoria is that she is more outgoing than she looks. Victoria is the current Head of Operations for the HSRN VIP.

Team Leads

	Jasper Zeng is a graduate student at Courant from Jiangxi, China. His technical interests are in AI, Machine Learning and Cloud Computing. In his free time he enjoys hiking, Tennis and Badminton. A fun fact about Jasper is that he has no fun fact. Jasper is the current lead of the Computational Steering team.
	Azriel Wang is a student at Tandon from Guangxi, China. His technical interests are in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity. He enjoys brewing coffee, photography and surfing the Internet in his free time. A fun fact about Azriel is that he is a radio ham. Azriel is the current lead of the Network Engineering Research team.

Alumni

	Zack Nguyen was a student at Tandon from Hanoi, Vietnam. He is interested in web development and audio programming. In his free time, Zack enjoys brewing coffee and watching documentaries. Zack’s fun fact is that he lived in Charlotesville, Virgina for 3 years before coming to NYC. Zack was the Program Lead of the HSRN VIP for the 24-25 cycle.
	Diego Troy Lopez was a Senior Network Engineer at NYU IT, previous Program Lead for the HSRN VIP, and graduate student at Tandon from Orange County, California. His technical interests are in Network Engineering, Machine Learning, Systems Optimization, Security, Automation and Astroinformatics. For fun, he enjoys working out, reading, and boxing. A fun fact about Diego is that he never has free time. Diego was the team lead for multiple projects.
	Tia Kumar was a student at Tandon from Manila, Philippines. Her technical interests include Social Entrepreneurship and Data Science. In her free time, Tia enjoys scuba diving, playing touch rugby and baking. A fun fact about Tia is that she has a french bulldog named Bacon. Tia led the Business, Finance & Project Management team.
	Idan Lau was a student at Tandon from Hong Kong, China, and has technical interests in backend programming, data science and computer networking. Idan watches movies when he’s free, and his fun fact is that he does’t like to eat breakfast. Idan led the Network Engineering Research team.
	Kaiwen Guo was a student at Tandon from Jinan, China. His technical interests are in AI and Cybersecurity. In Kaiwen’s free time, he is a guitarist and drummer for a band called “Brittany Can’t Tell”. One fun fact about Kaiwen is that he has built a unique instrument similar to the stylophone. Kaiwen led the Real-time applications team.
	Yuheng Lu was a graduate student at Courant from Beijing, China. His technical interests are Full-Stack Development, Kubernetes and Cloud. In his free time, he hikes and spends time with his dog, Bagel. A fun fact about Yuheng is that he got lost in Myanmar. Yuheng led the Deployments team.
	Po-Hsuan Huang was a graduate student at Courant from Taipei, Taiwan. Her technical interests are in backend development. In her free time she enjoys hiking, yoga, and attending music festivals. A fun fact about Po is that she has completed Camino de Santiago. Po led the Audio Engineering team.
	Gloria Zhu was a CAS student from Acton, Massachusetts. Her technical interests include full stack development, computer networking, and computer science education. In her free time, Gloria loves to read books, make music covers in GarageBand, and enjoy the outdoors. A fun fact about Gloria is she walked the entire length of Manhattan, from Marble Hill to Battery Park, in 7 hours! Gloria led the Corelink AR/VR Team.

	Jaya Sabarish Reddy Remala was a graduate student at Tandon from Nellore, India. His technical interests are in Software Engineering, specifically Full-Stack Development. In his free time, Jaya plays the piano and reads books. A fun fact about Jaya is that one day he ate an entire pie of pizza. Jaya led the Web Development team.
	Nick Chao is from Hsinchu, Taiwan. His technical interests lie in Cloud, infrastructure, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Linux, and Python. For fun, he likes jogging and casual marathon runs. A fun fact about Nick is that he used to speak intermediate level German. Nick was the 2024 Spring Program Lead of the HSRN VIP. 👉🏻 Projects
	Baraq Lipshitz is from the Bay Area, California. He is deeply interested in a wide range of technology, with a keen focus on machine learning and distributed cloud infrastructure. In his free time he’s an avid skier and sailor. Baraq led the Corelink team.
	Olivia Feng is from Beijing, China. She is interesting in game development, and AR/VR application development. On her free time, She plays video games and snowboards. Her fun fact is that she has two cats. Olivia led the AR/VR Application team.
	Sachin Iyer (Spring 2021-Fall 2022) was the founder of the current iteration of the HSRN VIP. He graduated from the Tandon School of Engineering with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science in Spring 2023. You can find more about him on his website.
